Demanding civil engineering in Munich's underground. First the planning of an underground car park at Josephsplatz drove the residents to the trees, then the construction equipment worked its way meter by meter into the depths under massive citizen protests.

In April 2016, three years after the start of construction, the construction project in Maxvorstadt was completed one year late. The result is a newly designed, attractive open space on the lid of the underground car park, which can accommodate 265 cars on four floors underground. Max Bögl was awarded the contract for the construction of the cylindrical ramp garage with a diameter of 48 metres by the state capital Munich in January 2013. In addition to the special civil engineering and shell construction work, the Max Bögl Group also carried out the canal construction, sealing, mastic asphalt, locksmith and coating work. The underground car park screws itself into the ground up to 17 metres deep like an oversized spindle. Only the access and elevator structure can be seen on the surface. The three-storey technical centre, which is located in the centre of the park spindle, houses the ventilation, sprinkler system and electrics.
