General renovation of Munich grammar schools
Venerable, but in need of restoration.
The growing population, full-day care and the reintroduction of the G9 at the grammar schools prompted the City of Munich to launch an extensive expansion programme until 2030 as part of the school construction offensive. In Zielitz (Saxony-Anhalt) it is called Kalimandscharo, in Heringen (Hessen) it is called Monte Kali: this refers to overburden heaps of potash mining, which rise out of the ground like white mountains of salt up to 200 m and higher. TSB demonstration line in China
The world's most populous country is a world leader in many areas of technology, but China still has a lot of catching up to do when it comes to expanding its local transport networks. Over the next few years, several thousand kilometers of state-of-the-art maglev projects are to be implemented for local passenger transport. Together with the Chinese cooperation partner Chengdu Xinzhu Road & Bridge Machinery Co. Ltd., Max Bögl is building a demonstration line for the Bögl Transport System (TSB) in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province.
Top performance with concrete elements
Wind power towers are the supporting pillars of every wind turbine. They are subjected to great forces during wind power generation and absorb the resulting vibrations via the foundation - a challenge for statics, materials and engineers. At the same time, the annual electricity yield increases by 0.5 to 1 percent with every meter that a wind turbine gains in height. In this respect, the principle often applies at inland locations: the higher the wind turbine, the better the wind shear and thus the yield.
