With the new building, Stahlo intends to further accelerate its growth strategy and not only double the number of its plants in the future, but also increase the amount of steel processed to 300,000 tons per year. The company's customers include automobile manufacturers and their suppliers. For example, the side panels, roof and boot lid of the Golf Variant are cut to size at Stahlo. In addition, Stahlo also supplies industrial customers - for example in the sanitary sector.

The company has a total investment volume of 45 million euros for the new building. On a total area of 45,000 m² (~6.5 soccer fields), a modern and at the same time aesthetically pleasing production hall with almost 1,000 m² of office extensions was built. The building is supplemented by parking spaces for cars and trucks, as well as a direct rail connection.
"We deliver the outgoing goods almost exclusively by truck. In future, however, we intend to process up to 80 percent of incoming goods by rail."
says Managing Director Guido Spenrath.

One year

In a main construction period from January 2018 to December 2018, the hall construction experts from Max Bögl assembled 588 precast concrete elements with an individual weight of up to 62 tonnes to form a production hall.
The Hall System Bögl was adapted to the conditions on site and to the needs of the customer - the axis grid here is 7x7 meters with a support grid of 7x42 meters in Hall 1 and 7x21 meters in Halls 2 to 6. This system contributed significantly to compliance with the short construction period of around one year. The precast concrete elements were almost exclusively manufactured in the directly adjacent Max Bögl plant in Gera.
In this context we would like to thank the company Stahlo - with the managing director Mr. Spenrath - for the always pleasant cooperation and the confidence placed in us.
